As part of our commitment to giving back to a community or organization of each client's choosing, one nonprofit we're proud to support is The Carabiner Collective, through our work with WHOA Travel.
The Carabiner Collective is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit dedicated to breaking down barriers to make outdoors adventure more affordable, accessible, and diverse. Founded by a group of passionate adventurers, the partnership between WHOA Travel, Sierra Nevada, and Mountain Goat Movement provides a range of initiatives and awards to support underrepresented individuals in the outdoors space.
One of its standout programs is their Trailblazer Grant, which awards financial assistance that helps make adventure more affordable and accessible for everyone—whether it's someone looking to climb a mountain or learn how to guide in their home country. These Trailblazer Grants include The Dada Award, The Rise Award, and coming soon, The Leader Award.
Through these awards, donations have made an impact across the world. Recipients of the Trailblazer Award span three continents, have climbed two of the Seven Summits, and 28 have climbed Africa's tallest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro.
Beyond awards, the partners behind The Carabiner Collective are strong advocates of sustainability and social responsibility, aiming to create an outdoor culture that not only welcomes everyone but also protects the environment. If you believe in the life-changing power of adventure, and are passionate about ensuring accessibility and affordability for all, The Carabiner Collective is a great way to get involved—whether it's by donating directly or applying for grants yourself!
